Audacious, adventure spirit, great sense of humor.
If you’re not afraid to be in a same room with stranger on a backpacker hostel in Athena to save the cost or taking a public transport with local people in Philippine bringing their pigs, fish containers, and chicken (and got to taste the “splash of piggy poo“), by still be able to laugh at loud at people’s different culture and enjoy the memorable traveling along the way.
As the Author said : “beggars can’t be choosers”, she really tried every level of comfort of travelling & accommodation, from a non star till the too much stars category ! and : “Ada harga ada mutu” which means : Money never cheats!
I’m so curious to know what she did and how did she get her ticket upgraded to business class on Emirates Airlines on the way to Vienna, from Jakarta. She would never explain this!
When I bought this book, it was the 6th printing ,and am looking forward for her second book soon and hopefully it will be much more hilarious than the 1st one – really proven made me laugh on the way in the train from Jakarta to Bandung on my last visit of Dec’08.
The book is in indonesian as well as her website, and a must read! for a true traveler spirit. Have you got one? Or have you got some interesting stories of travel?
