My Bali, My Life – Learn from mistakes project

Archive for April, 2009

On my previous posts 5 Tips to enjoy Bali not as a tourist and My 5 Favorite Beaches in Bali, I keep bringing up why
I don’t like Dreamland Beach anymore that is called now New Kuta Beach. Located on the Bukit Peninsula,Bali, only 10 minutes from my house! Dreamland Beach was once spotted and found by a western surfer back in the 70′s.

The beach provided basic accommodation and cafes for surfers and day trippers. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it is also renowned for its dangerous shorebreak.

  • MY 5 FAVORITE BEACHES IN BALI

My days in Bali consist of finding beautiful and stunning beaches that are stretching out from west coast to the east cost, and not to forget southern area. As I live in Jimbaran, some surfer beaches are even located only 10 minutes by a speedy bike from my house :p

Here are my Top 5 Favorite Beaches I frequented quite often as my day dream spots :

  • I haven’t seen a man who has such a big heart and love for his late wife who no longer exist physically for him,and bless people with this painful experience thus help others, like Danny Gokey, the contestant of American Idol 2009 (and soon to be the Finalist, I really really hope!). Sophia, Danny’s lovely wife passed away before he joined the audition, and we all saw how he melted down on the interview telling people about his background life story.

    VOTE FOR YOUR LIFE!

On 9 April 2009, Indonesia had the Legislative Election ‘very well’ executed. How come it’s not ‘well’ organised, so many people with the voting right did not find their names on the DPT List or list of voter. I have no idea what system they are using for registering the voters, but having a 12 years old kid come to the election place when he is not eligible yet for this right is just ridiculous. Not to mention, a Governor of Central Java almost lost his voting right as he did not find his name on the list. Talking about a well organised Election this year! One thing I know, I lost my “Starbucks moment” on this election.

  • Bali is a big island to explore, and finding hidden stunning areas and spots such as blue pristine water in a secluded beach area are among the most fun part to discover this island of paradise.

More visitors or even local residents like me prefer avoiding touristy areas such as Kuta Beach (and Kuta Square), Dreamland Beach-who is now known as New Kuta Beach full of Jakarta and Surabaya local tourists! (how on earth those investors from Jakarta dare to change a beach name found once by a surfer in 70′s!), and would rather explore West,North, and East part of Bali.

Not everyone could commit to be a full time blogger, and willing to teach people to become better and better in this area. Blogging is a new thing in web for me, I think it’s also not more than 10 years ago people made this new way to post your diary, thoughts, ideas, feelings, creativity, in a more interactive way.

But Darren Rowse from Victoria, Australia is proud to have this title as a full time job/profession, yes he is a full time blogger from ProBlogger and give this 31 Days to Build a Better Blog challenge in which I’m so excited to join. Thanks, again! to Steven Sentosa to give me this link!

  • THANK YOU, INDONESIA!

Aug’08 was the first time I wrote my blog, I made it on Blogspot, at http://mybalistuff.blogspot.com and writing was my long hidden passion that Bart has successfully helped to reveal it. But to get broader readers as well as trying to make money online, I decided to use WordPress free blog program (NOT http://yourname.wordpress.com one!)  to realize my www.beeamazing.com online, and found it more benefits from paying my preferred domain name and hosting a server (thanks,Bart!).
